Any Australian news or predictions on when the updates are coming?
Aussie here. I was about to place an order for the M340i, told build in June and be here around September. Then today I was reading about the changes coming. Asked at the dealership and they said they knew nothing about them. Is that likely true? Has anyone here heard anything locally about if or when we might get the updated cars? I'm just especially keen to see what the new interiors would be like as the only thing I don't like on the M340i was how hard/rough most of the surfaces are compared to what I'm used to driving.

err ... is the LCiv2 going to change that? i suggest you get the multipadded seats (don't add ventilation and definitely don't add massage - makes the seat more uncomfortable) but not sure what else you can do

i'd hope the cars come from Germany, though they did shut the 3 series plant to make EVs, not sure where it's being moved, but i doubt it'd be Mexico, that's on the other side of the planet

3 series, except for touring, are made in Mexico. It's actually far closer to ship from Mexico vs Germany as from Germany the ships circumnavigate South Africa, then come across the Pacific Ocean. From Mexico, they come via the Panama Canal and via Aukland. About 2 weeks faster.
Great thread here regarding all updates https://g20.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=901686 |

it was built perfect, everything solid. (not saying the Mexico ones aren't, just the that the first BMW i bought was solid) would you think the LCI v2 would be better mechanically with port inject? |

New gen engines are already out there, you can check JB4 website to see that they have better tuning capabilities.
But for now it's going to be only US and Korea that gets those engines. |
