Ordered some quads for my standard exhaust from AliExpress MaiQilong. Hope it works!

Wet Fish,
See Post #241 on page 11 for the updated link to the MaiQilong seller. First row of exhausts is for stock exhaust, second is for MPE. Mine fit perfectly (post #232). Check styles as I think they rearranged them from when I ordered mine (they may be cheaper too). |

I just ordered a non MPE gloss back version for my car. I will report back once they get here.

I ordered the carbon - black for the MPE exhaust. If you msg the seller, you can ask for a discount
Install was decent. Here are the quick tips 1) buy longer hex socket set screws. i had 3-4 screws that were too short. Here's what i bought: M8x40mm Stainless 304 2) remove the bolts for the exhaust hangers to make it easier to tighten the top 3) use a level, start with left and right first then top/bot. Heres a couple of pics. i wish it was just a tad shorter, like 3/4" but love how much more aggressive it is. |

Inner nuts moving
I just received a set of quad tips just like these. Before mounting them I have a question, guys. If you turn each of the bolts (as if you were tightening them onto the exhaust) the inner nut rotates and moves. How do you stop the inner nut from moving and keep it tight against the inside of the quad pipe?

The intent of the nuts is to tighten against the inside of the exhaust tip pipe once the bolts have been secured, so that the bolts down back out. That said, it's impossible (well, very difficult) to tighten them once the tips are on.
I took them off. If you don't take them off, and don't tighten them, they will rattle (ask me how I know). To ensure that the tips don't loosen over time, use some lock tite on the threads. |

Thanks guys. After a bit of experimentation I agree that using the "inside" nuts on the outside as a second nut on top of the first "outside nut" makes the tightened bolt more secure and less likely to come loose. I will also add some locktite on the threads for good measure!

Had them for several weeks and finally got them on. Easy enough to install. Still feel like I need to fine-tune the adjustments but got them close enough for now. I'm going to be checking often for the first couple weeks, make sure all is good and holding. The car shakes when I try to pull on them so they are definitely on tight right now.
