Regret Black Wheels?

Anyone regret not going with the bi color wheels? Do the black wheels chip or mar easily from road debris?

If a dealer has a car on lot that ticks all the buttons except for the wheels, will they swap them out for you? Thanks!

They will probably put up a fight, but be insistent and they will give in. It an easy swap. There’s absolutely no reason they can’t do it.

Except for it being mentioned on the Monroney?

Black wheels, at least the matte ones, are extremely attractive for dirt and sand. But when clean very beautiful.

Not sure about dealer swap; doesn't hurt to ask them but don't feel limited to what's on the lot. Ordering exactly what you want only takes a couple of months, and the way I see it is I'm not spending that kind of money unless I can get the exact configuration I want. Dealer has been great to work with.

As far as black wheels, power coating (I assume the 791Ms are) protects the wheel pretty well, but over time everything can get a bit duller. About 1 in 5 cars I see with light colored wheels have brake dust that ruins the look anyway. Yet most cars going down the road with black wheels look good to my eye.

I have black wheels, no issues. Easy to keep clean, especially if ceramic coated
