Acoustic signal on reverse
Acoustic signal when reverse gear is engaged
Apparently it can be codded with the bimmercode app: Enable/disable the acoustic signal that sounds when the reverse gear is engaged. Values: Active Not active For this option the following control unit has to be available in the car: Instrument Cluster DKOMBI4 Anyone found where this is via esys if possible? |

I coded it first along with my auto start stop. It worked fine till I tried flashing my car with BM3 and that messed up the ECU settings. I lost both those codings while other codings stayed, which was weird. I then redid auto start stop and acoustic signal when reverse gear is engaged. Auto start stop works but acoustic didn’t work this time even though it showed it was active.

2. Yes. It was a beep noise inside the car when you engaged reverse. Just one, slightly long beep. I coded it because my VWs in India (manual transmission) made the exact same single beep as a warning to let you know reverse gear is engaged and it brought back memories

I just coded off the auto start stop myself. I noticed it now stays off in comfort and sport, but if I switch into eco it turns back on and has to be manually turned off again via the console button. Was this your experience as well or is mine buggered up ? |

Ill let you know how it is the next time I take the 330i out. Ive driven it in eco pro only once for 15s. Hated it and never tried it again. And that was before I coded a.s.s off.

Yours works exactly like mine did. I tried it today to see if what you said was right. The moment I hit eco pro, the a.s.s light on the console turns off. Put it back in comfort or sport and it still stays off. I have to press the button to turn it back on. It stays on after that until I hit eco pro again.

Hi,
on my previous var, 2014 F30, I coded the ASS memory. Whenever I changed driving modes, the car "forgot ASS memory" -- exactly as you described. Having said that, however, if I was driving in EcoPro & shut car down with ASS off (ie, the red light on). When I started it again (I also coded car to start in EcoPro), ASS was off (red light on). Now that I have coded ASS memory on my M340, the same occurs. This is the normal modus operandi for ASS Memory Hope that helps
