This is the first time I've disliked a BMW design to the point that I just can't see it growing on me. Maybe but more than likely it's time to take a generation off in my typically M3 garage.

I was always a huge BMW fanboy since my childhood. I remember the first day I rode in my late grandfathers black E34 535i like it was yesterday.

I'm 30 years old now and looks like this marks the end of my fanhood.

Goodbye BMW. We'll meet again when you get your shit back together.

I think it will look better in person especially once it gets all the little M touches. Well done, BMW!

Fugly! I just went to the garage to hug my E92! The front end is offensive!

I am so extremely dissapointed with this design. Don't get me wrong it's beautiful and it flows except for the front end it barley looks like a BMW anymore what happened to the signature grills that all the cars before this did well.

Yeah. Love most of it. That grill though. Nope. It genuinely ruins the car for me.
.
Is the front end that radically ugly just because it's a '2020' model? Like, it's 2020, this model needs to be far out!!
.
Dial that grill back about 60% and you'll probably have a winner on your hands.

We can talk about the oversized grill, etc, etc.
But overall the most disappointing thing is that it really doesn't even look like a BMW. Looks more Infiniti, Lexus, or even Mazda. They didn't even get the rear window kink right for Christ's sake

Except for the grill, the design seems very generic...like many have said, similar to Infiniti (or a bit of Lexus) with some Mustang added in.

Plus, BMW is no longer leading design, they are following. Lexus (& Toyota), Audi, Infiniti have already done the huge grill thing and it's just plain old.

what's the point of this concept if the final design is already finalized...will look nothing like the exaggerated lines of the concept!

This is even worse than the renderings!!! LOL. Wow. Could have never imagined it could be...

The rest of the car looks like it should be the next generation Infiniti G35. Totally generic. Doesn't look like a BMW so they put that massive grille to remind everyone.

I hate the grill.

I understand that BMWs of old had a long vertical kidney. However they fit the overall style of the time period of cars; Very elongated and large front ends.

If they cut those grills in half you'd have a fan, as of now it does nothing for me as it sits.

Hey man , you know how you made that list of people who were disbelievers of the grille?

I think you need to make a new list now

Lets just hope that they donít ruin the new M2 design, like they have with this thing.

You hit the nail right on the head. It doesn't look BMW anymore. I saw the comments of missing Chris bangle, his designs were controversial but it still looked like a BMW. The back looks very much Lexus or Infiniti. It looks good but not like a bmw. I just can't get over that front. These huge grills to sell more cars in China is going too far now.
