I ticked the box to add TPMS to my Tire Rack order but I don't know what they are. I'm assuming they are not BMW OEM and they work just fine.

They are not BMW. Aftermarket but they have aways worked for me just as well as the OEM sensors.

Has anyone ever tried the pirelli sottozero 240 series 2? That’s what I am leaning towards.

I had them on my WRX in 2010. Not bad but not great at really anything. The Sottozero 3 is a big step up in all measures. The 240 II is an ancient tire at this point.

Could I ask why you decided to go 235 instead of 225 square? I'm looking at getting this exact same set and TireRack is recommending 225/40-19 for this wheel.

225 is too narrow for my liking and is not enough tire for this car unless in snow all the time necessitating a narrow tire. 235/40/19 adds a little more width and a minor increase in sidewall which I suppose fills out the wheel arches and maybe adds some pothole protection. It fits perfect and no adverse effects to speedometer or traction control.

Thank you. Appreciate your response.

Probably going to go with this setup myself, really like the look. Did you choose the 18x8 or 18x8.5?

If that's the 796M package from BMW, it's 225/45 on 18x7.5 front and 255/40 on 18x8.5 rear.

I'm biased, but I think the 796M's look awesome.

BMW does a poor job explaining packages.
I would agree the BMW sales reps don't even know what is going on.

Its tough when the customer knows a lot more than the dealer.

I asked them about M Performance CF & Gloss Black and the sales guy had no idea what was available.

I ended up ordering all the M Performance Exterior Pieces and the sales guy said wow your car looks better than any of the cars we have sold this year. Thats probably because they don't offer the good stuff to everyone you have to ask.
