What’s everyone’s thoughts between the evolution racewerks downpipes and the AA downpipes? Debating between the two and not sure which would be the better option. Thanks in advance!

Both are very high quality, made in the US.

If your car is flash tuned and you do not care about CEL, either one works fine. You wont notice the difference between the 2 once its installed.

If your car is not flash tuned, the Active Autowerke downpipe is better since it offers no CEL guarantee.

Hello,

Your findings and comparison of mission tuning m340 dyno making more power than ours is incorrect. I'll explain.

1. The stage 1 number of 460 you are referencing is crank the actual number on their website is 418 whp on a dyno jet.

2. This Dyno is highlighting how well our Epa catted downpipe works with our tune. For max hp numbers we suggest going with our Cattless Downpipe.

3..They are using a dynojet which reads much higher than a mustang dyno typically 10% to 15% more. We can go with the lower of the two to try and compare as best we can. Giving our tune a peak of 473whp +or - and 507 wtq + Dynojet Estimated.

Max Hp Dyno Estimate
-Active Autowerke Peak Max hp stage 2 473whp and 507 wtq (Epa certified catted downpipe)

-Mission performance Peak Max hp Stage 2 473 whp 485 wtq (cattless downpipe Assumed)

6500 rpm near redline Hp Estimate.
-Active Autowerke Stage 2 @ 6500 Rpm 467 whp & 347 wtq (Catted downpipe with 10% dynojet conversion

-Mission performance stage 2 @ 6500 rpm 440whp & 350 wtq (cattless downpipe Assumed)
Today, so many people bother with numbers from dynos. Dyno is a only tuning tool. It doesn’t make any difference what numbers are shown there. For the tuner, dyno is only needed to understand the power and torque curves. Where power grows, where it falls, etc. The tuner puts the car on dyno, makes a run and understands the reference point. And then he starts conjuring with a laptop and looks at where the power and torque curves are moving. The numbers themselves are for pure marketing. For example, with us you will get 1000wHP with just Stage2 on your 318i BMW, come to us. 99.9% people here will say that its can't be true, but why if dyno says so? And with manipulation you could make dyno says so. But if your 318i will show low 4 seconds 100-200 km/h then everything will be in place. I want to see acceleration measurements with Dragy of 100-200 km/h in order to understand how the car is going. This is the best indicator of how fast your car is.

Can the catted down pipe with No tune be harmful to the vehicle (decreased back pressure etc.)? Or is the only con not getting the maximum amount of power out of the mod?

Not getting maximum power, and potentially having a CEL. Turbo engines don't really need exhaust back pressure, esp not modern engines with advanced ECUs etc.
