I suspect on the uninstalled bumper shot there are either inserts missing on the sides of the aero slats or the part directly behind the bumper has that pattern. Bmw wouldn't leave such a massive opening without some kind of protection for the intercooler. My guess is the grainy photo and angle is causing it all to blend in . |

BMW is getting softer with their lines. Just looked at the M440i for example and the distinctive pronounced side lines has dissappeared. Getting closer to the horrible mundane Lexus look. BORING AS HELL! Also, the wide flare stance, especially in the rear has almost disappeared which hurts the M brand dramatically. Unfortunately BMW has now marketed to the masses and has somewhat lost their unique identity over the past several years. Yes, I love BMW's more than my third child but.... Forget the grill for a second and look beyond to entire presence of these new models. There just isn't the WOW factor, MUST have factor now. SOFT is where they are going. Guess we dont like change huh?

M440i somehow looks better, well better isn't the correct word...
Anyways, this will sell better than the F80 simply because it will be offered with AWD. Way more of a GT car.

Would be interested to know if anyone on the site is in the know and has the actual information. But what is the typical demographic of the M3/ M4 buyer?
Previously, I’ve read BMW referring to M Performance, and M2’s as financially more attractive to bring people (younger) to the brand since M cars are expensive. So where is the M3/ M4 pitched?

In Canada anyways the Porsche argument is stupid. You are talking 40-50% more for a comparable car...at a minimum. Just look at the M2C. 75k in Canada and a GT4 is 130k as I would spec it. After taxes, thats 63k more for me... so it's not like most people are just cross shpping M2s vs GT4 (well not for long...)

It's a shame that it does not look anything like the CSL / CSL-R Hommage

I don't hate it. I'll give it a look/drive once it's out. I don't like the weird hood scoops though.
I do like the new 4 series lights, much better than the LCI 5 series. |

How much would an after market front clip (CSL Homage style?) likely cost?
