I unplugged mine a couple months ago. Prob had it unplugged for ~2500 miles.

I have the MPE and after driving home one day in sport+, I left it idling and unplugged it. Best decision ever. As stated, no CEL but if you have BimmerLink it does throw a code.

It's on lol, but couldn't fire it up my baby was asleep and well yeah priorities. Oem tail pipe cutter took care of stock muffler. Got confused on the motors but figured those out along with how to run the wiring. Will fire it up tomorrow morning. I was moving pretty slow so took me a little over 3 hours on my back with ramps, but it's totally doable as everything lines up perfectly.

Not loud? I'd really hope it's a good amount louder than stock!

Ok see here are infamous tips, the inner pipes tips need some persuasion to go in further but nothing crazy. They can be pushed in another 1/2-1 inch but I like them that way. Like Dinan said these are adjustable and can be hidden more if you like.

Ignore the groceries

Yeah I will post some more pics in a little while. The exhaust looks tough af, just an awesome setup. There are crazy pops and burbles in sport plus, in comfort mode the exhaust is tame but has way more of a deeper tone than stock. Sport plus sounds amazing not just louder but the tone is super deep, I would say bordering on an exotic car sound. Plus the mental butt dyno ( not calibrated at all) says there maybe a pony or two there. Overall I'm very happy with the purchase and can't wait for the intake. Will take more pics, but if your on the fence do it. Plus as a added bonus you can definitely hear some more turbo spool.

agreed, I feel the quad tips kills it.. sounds great.. the MPE looks to much like the already stock exhaust that already sounds great, just BMW didn't finish it off great out of the bumper. Looks just like a 330i rear bumper/exhaust cutouts, only would know if you heard out or seen the badges

Came out great! came out better than the dinan exampled grey car. I like the tips tucked in more than sticking out to far. makes it look more fluid and streamlined.

Well the MPE uses the stock tips/finishers as the muffler doesn't actually physically connect to them. BMW has black tips available as an accessory for the MPE but they're the same shape. Hopefully the aftermarket comes up with better options in the future

Thanks for your pictures!

Any chance you can experiment with advancing the tips a little deeper to see the max they go in? Just curious.

Don't have much time but imagine another 1/2-1 inch or basically hiding Dinan under the bumper
