I think the different G20 models/engines are running different software id’s

Mine has been updated to 03/2020.24. However got home and I’ve lost ALL my apps. No weather widget or news and I STILL haven’t got Spotify.
It’s a complete farce. First and last BMW. I never, ever had any issues like this with Audi

I'm still on 11/2019 but noticed today that my news and weather apps are not working. Totally missing off the home screen, still showing on the apps page but don't work. I don't use them that often so can't say when they disappeared. I still have spotify tho.

Just go to the apps page, click on the "options" button near the iDrive controller and select update apps. You may need to do a hard reset of iDrive before or after or both, but they should all come back.

Did the update apps, nothing changed. I'll try an idrive reset later.

Why cant BMW get their act together on this? I have spoken to both an Audi and Jaguar driver and when you ask "is their connectivity software flaky?" "Absolutely no" comes the answer.

What is most frustrating of all is that there really is nobody to get the latest info from.

Connecteddrive are really no clearer on anything.

So there is no Alexa, and no details as to when it might ever appeare
In April Office 365 (which works very well indeed) is pulled and not a word about any kind of replacement.

Yeah it's a joke. My CD thinks car is in motion since 28.02.

Spotify has stopped working - app is there but intermittent.

Had a week of speaking to BMW about it all - they say to update the apps but it fails every time. Then it's 'drive to other locations and try it'. Eye roll.

The other apps seem ok but they really need to issue these OTA updates ASAP.

Hi

Just purchased year old 320d from dealer. Love the car, but the software version is 11/2018. I have contacted dealership, the service department advised software review is not part of the comprehensive checks. I have booked car at local dealership for software update 12th March. Will advise what software version is uploaded.

Nb tried to upload with BMW ConnectedDrive on the phone , no joy.

My software was 'updated' in November due to brake fluid change overdue from 2001!!! It was basically re-set from 'September' to 'July' and Lost all data on miles driven by electric. Plus the blue shading on the dash and main screen has disappeared and stays orange in all modes. When searching for an update apparently their isn't one.

I've checked my display settings and I don't have that option. Perhaps it's for head up displays?

I have just updated mine OTA took a while but it did it in the end. 11/2019.20 to .29. It downloaded to the iPhone and then after a few journeys it finally asked if I wanted to update. Took no more than 5 mins.

Weird seems to be different on different cars... that option on mine definitely changes the colour of both displays (live cockpit and iDrive screen) when you change mode i.e. comfort, sport and eco pro....

I think it's disappears when they changed the software. It's strange all cars have different software installed, would have thought they would all have same with the same updates available!

Just to say software updated to 11/2019. My local dealership did not want to update software as it should be automatic. I explained that BMW ConnectedDrive team where not able to help to update software from 11/2018. They eventually agreed to update
