Have you been using anything on it or your hands more often? Hand sanitizer for example? It dries out the leather very quickly. Have you tried a good leather cleaner and conditioner?

I do use hand sanitizer but I don't touch that part of the steering wheel and I always let my hands dry before touching it. Not sure if a leather conditioner would help or if dryness is the problem. Looks more like it's losing its form.

If that's the worst it gets, I don't think that's abnormal. If you have a good relationship with your local dealership, you can try getting it replaced. But they'd likely only do it was a goodwill gesture, not because they explicitly approve a warranty repair. Maybe it looks worse person, but leather is never perfect, especially on BMWs.

Must be nice. My X5 steering wheel looks awful. But I'm being told it's "normal wear and tear".
