How do I break the tires loose with my new 330i?
How do I make my RWD 330i’s wheels spin?
I can only seem to do if I turn the steering wheel far to the left or right, and even then, only slightly. |

Turn off DTC and/or DSC. Put one foot on the brake (heavily, to hold vehicle) and the other on the gas and hold it at 4K RPM. Then release break and hit accelerator further. Should take off at peak power and accelerate with some wheel spin.
I wouldn't condone doing this in public at risk of injuring yourself or others though. |

It's not like the 330i is a very powerful car. That's how you do a burnout in an automatic car. Unless you have Prius tires and 600 ft-lbs of torque, there's no other way. Especially if it has 255 summer tires in back.

It has enough low end torque to chirp the tires, perhaps it’s the weight?? |

If you have to ask... then you probably shouldn't be doing it. Take some HPDE courses.

Not sure, but I know how to make a 340i's tires spin...Put it in Sport + mode and gun it around a corner...Then reel it back in and put it back into Sport mode because it scared the pi$$ out of you!
