New M340i

So after selling my M340i I decided I missed it and bought another

Managed to come out on top so winner

The new car is non MHT so has the start/stop but when I stop it doesn't cut the engine. The dashboard icon comes up saying its can't turn off

Is there a setup/menu to stop it ?

No, it depends on a number of factors. First you can try depressing the brake pedal when you're at a standstill - sometimes this will force it into ASS.

You also can't ASS while in Sport mode, when the engine is cold, A/C or electrical requirements dictate engine is needed, etc. If you go into the energy flow screen from the menu it will give a reason for disabling ASS if it is due to certain requirements.

Thanks I'll check the flow screen

But the car was warm, been down the motorway, AC was on and in comfort mode. I've driven it 3 times since picking it up and all 3 times the ASS will not kick in.

Not that I want it to stop but my older MHT M340i would cut off all the time, in fact to much some times, this new car isn't doing it at all

I've had that a few times on mine when it hasn't been driven much. I've put the battery on charge overnight and it starts working again.

Perhaps the previous owner disabled ASS by coding?

It is very dependent on the battery state as mentioned above. Charge it as long as you can and try it again.
