M340i A90 Supra Rim Fitment

Hi everyone,

I have a 2022 M340i RWD with the 8” square setup with 225/40 Cinturato run flats.

This setup leaves a lot to be desired with regards to grip and it rides a bit hard with the run flats.

I’d really like to fit some OEM A90 Supra rims as they are lighter and fit a lot more tire while being (comparatively) inexpensive.

Questions:

Do these just bolt on with no spacers, new lugs or other mods?

Are there any fitment issues using stock size Supra tires?

Do the BMW center caps and TPMS fit?

I’ve searched but can’t find definitive answers to these questions.

Thanks for your help!

They would be direct bolt-on being the same 5x112 and 66.6 cb. Comparing with Apex racing's direct bolt-on spec, the Supra oem wheels are nearly identical (7mm more inset in front, 2mm rear). I would suspect a minimal spacer could be optional if you want extra flush (and Apex also warns a small spacer may be required with some coilovers).
Regarding the center caps, tpms, and lug bolts.. I would expect so but can't say definitively. Lug bolts would match at M14x1.25, but the length is the uncertainty especially if you end up going with spacers. Below is a post of someone who fit supra wheels as well.

Supra oem:
19x9 et 32
19x10 et 40

Apex direct bolt-on:
19x9 et 25
19x10 et 38

Yes to everything, a bunch of people have already done it. Check through the aftermarket wheels thread in here.

If you stay with 255 up front, a small spacer will be required to clear the strut. Stock Supra size will work if you're rwd, if you are xdrive you will have to either change the rear to 295/30 (shown) or all 4 to match diameters. Center caps and tpms match.

What tire sizes do you have in the picture here? And how much of a spacer is needed to keep the 255 tire up front?

255/35 front 295/30 rear. 4mm spacer will get enough clearance but will not be “flush” 10mm will get it there.

Great information, thank you! Would I need longer lug bolts with the 10mm spacer?

Another question:

I notice the Supra 2.0 18” rims are very cheap and readily available. Will they clear the M Sport brakes? My car obviously doesn’t have the larger rotors from the Cooling/High Performance Tire Package.

The better ride quality of the 18s, availability of a wider tire setup and lower tire cost seems like a nice benefit as well.

Awesome! I just picked up a set in the all-black locally for $500 with tires.

So I got a chance to grab a set of these at a price I couldn't refuse. Powder coated in Grecian Gold Vein too. Now I have to decide if I want to make this a track day / summer setup or sell them 🏆

I have a 22 Xdrive. So I'm thinking I'd significantly upsize the rubber to the 255/295 recommended set-up vs the 235/265 I'm running for DD'ing.

Thoughts? PS.... I really need to get some springs I guess. That blue one looks perfect 👌

Will 235/40 fronts and 265/35 rears rub at all on a stock xdrive m340i?

How’s the fitment? Does it rub on this setup?

I have supra wheels on my xdrive and did 245/40 and 275/35 Pilot Sport 4S and zero rubbing ever. Even with H&R springs and 12mm spacer up front. Fits and looks like they could've been a factory option.

And with the 9J front and 10J rear? The 10J rear with 295 is not an problem regarding fitment?

Thanks for sharing this set-up. Is the 12mm spacer required for clearance in the front?
No problems with x-drive?
Thank you!

Can't remember if I tried without any spacer but it would either not fit at all or have rubbing issues on the fender liner or suspension. 12mm spacer gives a perfect fitment, no poke and not sunken in.
xDrive is only concerned with tires, they need to be under 1% difference. I like using apex's fitment guide since they've put in the work already.

Do you have the adaptive suspension? Love the fitment!

Thank you, it's non-adaptive.
Hopefully I'll get to upgrade to ST or KW's this year
