I've only seen 2 in Atlanta. expected to have seen more over the past year with all the traffic here. Beginning to feel like I'm in some rare special edition BMW which I know isn't true but Its interesting nevertheless.

I have seen quite a few around my area of northern Virginia, and many more 330s.

I rarely see any F30 340i's so there's that.

I've seen a few M340's parked and same thing with the 330i. But I have a very short commute to work so not too much time spend on the roads looking at other cars.
According to BMW of North America November sales figures, the 3 Series (6,283) outsold the X3 (5,948) in November, showing how popular this new model is. Note that the X3 is BMW's sales champion. I would expect to start seeing more and more as time progresses. |

Denver area here - I have not seen any and, when I do, I'm betting it won't be Sunset Orange like mine.
As others have stated, I love this. Makes it more of a unicorn. Just like my 2016 340. While I saw others from time to time, never saw EBII on Coral Red.

M340i a rare sight?
Everyone staring at mine. I almost feel like rock star. The car cracks and burbles everywhere in sport mode. Yummy

We are very rare sighting indeed. I have the 330i M-Sport, only seen like 2: One 330i Msport and one non-Msport.
However, the other evening coming back from work, a black M340i with Laser lights pulled up beside me on the left at the traffic light, and me with TBII 330i M-Sport + Laser lights on the right lane. Made eye contact as we acknowledged our presence. As soon as it was green, gladly let him pass and dang that b58 engine is fast.. The only problem with sightings of M3/M340/340/335. As soon as you see them, they're gone just like that!. |

The dealers near me do not keep them on the lot, so the everyday car buyer is forced to order one.

My wife and I are looking at an X5 to replace her 2014 CX5. I have 180,000 miles on my 2011 328, so I will probably run it to 200,000 miles and then seriously look at an M340i.
