Ok so what do you guys recommend out of this list:

1. 2019 330i
2. 2019 M340
3. 2020 330i

And which month release of each model do you recommend since someone here said that the earlier the release the less reliable since it's new still.
M340i no question. You only live once, go for the 6cyl, pure driving beauty. Not that the 330i is bad. But have I regretted getting my 340i ever, even for a second? No.

Hmm... I think it's my driving style.
I'm not that guy who wants to be infront of everyone and get to the light first. I go easy on acceleration and I rarely go beyond gear 4.

Other than that I do fresh oil and filter change every 5-9000 miles.
Valve cover gasket if it needs replacing, spark plugs all 6 and sensors.
This all went kaput once at around 120-160.000 miles.

Oh and the water pump and temp gauge got replaced at 150k miles.

That's about it really =|

Where do you recommend I go buy a 2019 G20 aside from dealership and privately owned euro car shop?

You're definitely lucky. Wife's E90 335i started falling apart after 100k.

This.

E90 era bmws in my experience were not the most reliable by any means. Especially the N54/N55 motors. It is like having the blonde Malibu high maintenance girlfriend, who knows what you were in for.

F30 and G30 of all trims I would expect to be better across the board, but the data will show.

Any idea who (forum member or otherwise, could be a magazine / media entity) has the highest mileage / most beaten M340i so far?

Yea, I am quite fortunate with my e90 .
I want to believe that it's my driving style and the way I treat the car too on top of that.

But I'm glad you guys said that the F30 and G20 models will be even more reliable so I'm hunting one down. Might even go for a 2020 model since the price look to be quite similar.

Likely Car and Driver, they are the only magazine I know of doing 40k miles in an M340i and was last seen a few months ago w/ 10k.

Just curious is it 180k or 250k, how old are you, and what do you do for a living? You said 180k in a earlier post. I'd suggest looking online for your 330.

On top of that, the G20 and F30 are much better from a design standpoint. I also had an E90 back in the day, but it was definitely the "okayest" BMW I have owned over the years. It bothered me how they broke from the BMW tradition of the driver slanted dash and just had that weird plank dash that was just very uninspiring in design. The interiors from that time were awful. Much prefer my F30, and love the G20 as well.

One of the biggest interior design features to me is the head unit and how it's integrated into the dash. I hated the "we forgot to include it and slapped a tablet on top" look of the last few years, across all brands - Mazda, Mercedes, BMW, Audi, everyone was doing it.

In that regard, the E / G series have it better than the F series. I imagine that while we had a new interior but basically same exterior for the G20, the G22 will now have the G20 interior + new exterior. If they make any major distinctive changes to the interior vs the G20 I'd be surprised.
