Woah! Nice update. Just to confirm i4 xdrive40 also receives $7500 lease credit?

Nope... the lease credit is coming from BMWFS and basically just a cap cost reduction on the lease (new tax code has a loophole for leases that doesn't have the requirements). It's not a rebate from the IRS to the consumer, it goes to BMWFS, so this "program" is basically just them passing the rebate rebate they will end up getting along to the lessee at the closing for the lease. They get it for everything that qualifies, but only decide to pass it on for the models they want to move (e.g. they get for any i4 M50 they lease out, but don't pass it along).

Correct... and don't blame your dealer, it's BMWFS that's being greedy there, the rebate goes to the lessor.

Correct, residual value can not be negotiated. Money factor base rate is set by BMW as well but some dealer mark-up for extra profit.

How many miles per year is your lease? 15k? 36mos/15k.

53% residual is for 10k miles per year.

So since the dealership still hasn't gotten any cars in yet, he cb to see if I still wanted the deal for the i40 with the EV Lease deal.

Can you explain how this works? I have a feeling he's trying to get on something that I'm not seeing yet.
So he is telling me I can lease it for 3yrs,10k miles. And I can get a EV lease credit of $7500.
So if the i4 was $64k. Does that mean the car is $56500? And I would base my lease on that amount?

OR I don't know if it makes a difference, would I still be getting my lease at the $64k price, but the $7500 would be like a your down for the vehicle. So nothing out of pocket. And in doing so, that would make my monthly payments lower? Its just that with the $7500 its like it covered my down and like 5 months of payments? ALthough I'm not sure if I could use it like that. Like tell him $2500 is down and for the next 5 months the credit covers my payments. If my payments was $1k a month as an example.

Is there something else I should look out for? Like to make up the $$, he would tell me my interest rate is higher than normal?

Just ordered my 40 xDrive for lease and was granted the $7500 federal credit AND the $5000 Colorado eV credit. Hard to pass up a deal like that, plus the dealer marked it down $3377 from MSRP AND I got another $500 military discount. With my build, the adjusted Cap Cost was $52600. With 0.53 residual the payoff at the end of 36 mos will be $36,300.
Now I wait...

Also placed the order. It is a shame that CA doesn't give i4 an EV credit.

I just put a deposit down on an i4 40i for 3yr/36k lease. I'm getting $11k off sticker. It's the $7500 credit plus the dealer dropped it another $3500. HOWEVER, I'm being told that this plan is only good on vehicles in stock and I'm only eligible because I currently own a BMW.

While the one in stock is Brooklyn Grey over black, which I'm totally fine with, I might consider a different color if I wasn't forced to take the one from the lot.

Am I being lied to in that regard?
