Better but still doesn’t work for me personally.

I quite liked the concept 4 as a whole, but the bonnet line really needs to be across the top of the grilles as per the concept.

IND distributions will likely work something out for this car. An LCI update. 100K for the car, 5K for the grill job.

If I will be the design chief of this car I will be ashamed of it.
Porsche is there to save us. They are curvy, wide hips, big booty.
Although Porsche is not perfect, it certainly has many desirable qualities.

This front grill looks like "AH" who ran WW2. I mean seriously, all they had to do is make a grill bigger, wider, make it look like the CSL concept. Instead they give you these building vents.

Love what I’ve seen of the new design so far. I imagine most of those complaining will be buying one .

I never liked hearing that coming from a Borg and I like it even less coming from BMW.

But I'm not sure whether it's more Borg-like, or maybe something the Nazis would tell the Hitler Youth organization...

I think that SCOTT26 has gone a little off the deep edge trying to promote this hideous grille design. The masses aren't buying it...

Similarly due to the Chinese consumer demands, I haven't been able to buy any of my go to Burberry polos because what once used to be a subtle shirt now has LOOK AT ME NOW sized fucking branding.

It's just tasteless imo.

These spy shots have already spread to many Chinese forums, and the responses are pretty much identical to what I see in Bimmerpost.
By the way, Chinese license plate fits extremely well to the new grill.

Assuming BMW is catering to the younger generation - I am under 30 and have owned three BMWs, two Ms. I have zero interest in this design.

Show me the Chinese marketing studies that prove what you're saying or the only thing tasteless is your post.

I think it looks better than anything BMW has on sale today. Way to pick a base model in a bad angle and the worst colour to make it look bad.

My friend still has his 650i Convertible from 2009 and decided to keep it but replaced the others in his garage with a Cayenne gts and a flying Spur. Such a gorgeous car with a design that was ahead of it's time. Even back then it was the most popular sports Coupe on the market here in Dubai and outsold everything not just in its class but above and below as well. Back then you'd find them parked at the VIP parking in front of nearly every hotel alongside F430s and Continental GT's. There was nothing like it. The F12/F13/F06 didn't really live up to the iconic status of their predecessor but still stood out from the crowd with a gorgeous design. Although it's still the brand I hold dear the most, today's BMWs don't make me go wow anymore, perhaps aside from the i8.

If it wasnt for reliability issues that come with their age I'd want one right now. Especially the E63/E64 M6. I don't mind paying for repairs - I just don't want to be stranded by the side of the road

I'm a former E90 M3 owner that left the brand, and I was going to put the new M3 on my shortlist. But these renders sadden me.

Ugh is it just me or do y'all think those huge ass grills are ugly af.
With a huge grill like that, anything additional would make it look so complicated you wouldn't to now where to set your eyes to.

The new design is very polarizing so far, that is for sure. Long gone are the days of the instant classic beauties like the E46 where it was often love at first sight. For me at least. Oddly I do love the G20 as well, it is this G80 render and all the giant grille stuff that is getting me.

Similarly, saw the new 7 driving in person the other day, and it is a total eyesore as well. Never warmed up to the design even in person.

The grill on the 7er sedan isn't good but I like the grill on the X7 a lot. They did it better on the X7 where the grill makes it have more road presence.. the 7er sedan grill just looks weird.

I think its all about proportions. On the X7 the grill is tall, but the vehicle itself is also big, but the 7-series, the grill looks bigger than the X7's despite being on a vehicle that is physically smaller, it just isn't proportionate at all for the 7er sedan.

I think we are all paying the price for the SUV market. A few years ago, BMW's SUVs looked like ridiculous sedan cars jacked up on stilts with an extra 6" of bodywork tacked on the bottom.

Now we have the opposite... BMW's recent sedan cars look like a heavy SUV that has been lowered without fixing up the proportions. (hence the huge grille and the fugly rear ends that seem to have multiple bumpers)

Be grateful since it could be so much worse... we could have M cars that look like this:
