This means that when they park/stand, the driver has to fold down the cloth (which I guess is attached to the interior) down in order to cover the interior (to camouflage [->"Tarnung"] it.

In Europe these seats are the optional M Sport Seats. You will get these in the new 1 Series or 2 GranCoupé.

I thought the seats shown in the most recent spy shots were the new M3/4 seats? At any rate, the seats you show are very nice and the lower bolster is much more entry/exit friendly . . . although likely not as secure for 'spirited driving.' Give and take.

The problem I anticipate from the photos is actually getting into them. The lower side wing is enormous and the space between the lower and upper side wings is almost non-existent.

So, one option is to jump into the seat - over the lower side wing - which is not advised. 90 degree entry, which is typical for sport seats, really does not look feasible given the nearly non-existent space between the lower and upper side wings.

In summary, the seats are fantastic looking, appear very functional in terms of comfort and stability . . . but a royal pain in the ass to get into.

In addition to entry/exit difficulty, I would not be surprised if an early complaint by owners is breakdown of the lower side wing leather/upholstery due to entry and exist stress.

Observation and suggestion based on 'spy photos' acknowledged as hardly being facts.

IMO, these are the seats for the track rats with accommodation for a 5/6 point harness. It's about time BMW offers the option. Those that want comfy seats with easy ingress and egress should get the base seats.

Are you making a determination about how good a car is purely by how it looks in some grainy photos? There are a lot of valid criticisms about the F30/80 generation in terms of driving dynamics. Huge grille notwithstanding, I think the G80 is going to be a much better car overall.

Interior will not be much different from the current g20
