Yes, I received it OTA about 10 days ago, in Norway. Folks from the US have had to go to the dealer to get it installed.

As for electric distance I'm starting to think there is a lot of truth in advice that says "charge+climatize just before you leave". A few days ago I charged from a Type 2 public charging station in a mall (16A = 3.7 kW) from 10% to 100%, climatized while still plugged in and left almost immediately. It was below zero in celsius yet I drove 36 km home and still had 11 km / 26% battery left; obviously I had heating on all the way. I'm thinking the 3,7 kW charging heated the battery to near summer temperature and I got near summer mileage; a very good result IMO with M-Sport 19 inch 791M wheels + Nokian R3 Winter tires; this setup is far from economical one and propably has quite high rolling resistance. |

An alternative to laser lights, for seeing deer and other animals in the road, is nightvision. And nightvision works whether you are using low or high beams.

the way I think is regardless how we drive once fully charged it should tell you what range we can get at a full charge - however then it should decrease on how you drive how do we even know if it ever can get rage quoted by BMW- most of us are getting 22mile once full charged this less then half of 37mile quoted by BMW |

Hi there,
I will be getting a new G20 330e next week (got a corporate deal, about €35k for a base spec one with connectivity package), from what I read it will suit well my daily commute of 30km round trip inside the city, and have charging points available at work for daily charging One thing I also do is about once a month I do a 800km round trip (350km each direction) on motorway, what kind of mileage will I be getting at 130-140km/h on your experience? |

I am getting around 40km+ on one charge. It has once incidated 50k to E when fully charged but usually it is is showing 44-45KM when fully charged.
However I have one gripe, pre-heating the cabin before taking off eats up 10km of charge ... What is the purpose of pre-heating from a battery PoV if it eats up as much energy as heating the car while driving? At the moment I don't have charging station so I assume the charger cannot cope with charing and heating the car as it seems that the battery is doing the heating and not the fact that the car is plugged into the wall which is odd.

I currently use 8 A charging from wall plug at home; I set timed climatization to be ready 20-25 minutes before I actually leave. The car is still way warmer than without any climatization and there is no ice in windows and I usually have 100% battery available when I leave since there has been time to charge the battery after climatization. I'm getting 40-45 km despite heating requirements from freezing temperatures by using method above. But this is one of the main reason I'm soon installing a charging station at home. |

Yes a wall charger will keep the battery topped up as I preheat the car every morning and it is always at 100% when I drive off. Never even used the wall plug so I can't say.

I looked at the numbers when I had driven about 80% of the total trip, and the fuel economy was about 17Km/l, with the car fully charged before starting the trip, and with about 15Kms. left of range. The battery was depleted when I completed the trip though, but the car saved it for when I was in the city. The average speed was above 100Km/H. I drove about 90% of the trip at between 100 to ~120Km/H. You can see in the picture below that even after a few trips around town the average speed is pretty high. The car also is very good at recovering and using the recovered energy.

Thanks for sharing! Can you see the average electric consumption (kwh/km)? That’s for me the key factor. If the car does 20kwh/100km at 110km/h, with an effective onboard 10khw battery you have for 50km at 110km/h. An E-tron does approx 25kwh/100km but a Model 3 16-17.

I have a similiar car. It all depends on the route, but I get 200km - 6.5 l/100 on 50% national road + 50% AE, starting with a 100% battery. I charged my car 5 times and drove 1300km and am averaging 6.6l/100. If you can, pass the Corporate Edition and get a "Pack M" (BMW is offering it for 3 series) and add the "Park Assistant". |

Yeah, I really can't go for the M sport or any other extra, it's corporate edition as is (can choose the metalic paint color, went for black) or I lose the €12k discount and if the car goes over 35000 the company is penalized in other taxes. Just parking sensors is fine, I've been driving a car with no sensors for 5 years now with no problem parking, so I will be fine |

I started with a fully charged battery, and finished the trip with 21% left. Most of the driving over 100Km/H. Everything else is in the picture.
A few other things I learned today: The autonomous driving works pretty well, including at high speeds, with rain, and in the dark, even with all three factors together. In some countries the onboard tech works really well, and in other is limited. In my case, it worked really well in Denmark but just partially in Sweeden and Norway, in that order. I wonder what makes the difference, could it be the map provider?
