4 1/2 months !!! Well I ordered my car in June 2020, didn't get a production slot until August.

I check the shipping line 5x a day still knowing it's not leaving the port for 5 days 😂😂

I feel your pain man....I think that was the longest I have ever waited for something !!
I shouldn't complain one of my buddies waited 2 years from the time he ordered his car, one of the first Mustang's in Australia, can't imagine that !!

Best thing is not to check dude, it will kill you.

I'm surprised those ships are coming from the US. I thought most G20s are coming from Europe or Mexico?

I think some Australia delivered G20s may be manufactured in Mexico now. Correct me if I am wrong.

There is a ship called the ARC Integrity that has just left Altamira Tampico Mexico. It would be full of 3 series BMW's. Its currently headed for Brunswick, It will be interesting to see if the next port is Savannah.
Maybe they swap ships for Australia there. I cant find anything leaving Mexico to Australia. I believe the X series made in Spartanburg departs Savannah for Australia.

This may be the answer.
Maybe the 3 series for Australia are made in Europe.
I've just checked the ship TYSLA it started its route in Europe.
Hopefully my X6M Competition will be on this boat.

I must say the grill is growing on me - still I would much prefer if the M3 sticks with a similar grill to the G20 330i or 340i.

Hero colours are traditionally considered bad for resale in Australia. Aussie car buyers tend to be quite conservative and seem to prefer the many shades of grey, black, white and blue.

I personally love the Isle of Man Green for the M3/4 but must defer judgment until I can see the car in its metal.

EEK!
That colour is definitely not for my garage.
For me, the jury is still out on the grill. I had seen a prototype version that was less angular, which I preferred.
To me, it seems that BMW is trying to emulate Audi, but with its own kidney grill spin.
Not a fan at the moment, but it might grow on me with time.

I think figured out why I don't like the grille-
Coz the slats are horizontal

Vertical is better and has some actual reference to a defining feature of BMWs
