OEM Tool Kit?

Does the G20 come with a tool kit like the F30 did? If I remember correctly, it came with a screwdriver and some other tool in a tray that the tools clipped into. If it does, where is it located? Thanks.

I looked in a owners manual and saw on page 307 that it comes with a tool kit but says under a cover. I remember when I test drove the M340i I looked in the trunk and lifted the cover and just the Battery was under it. I didn't see a tool kit. Maybe theres another cover or trap-door that I missed.

Nope, it would appear those days are over. Today you don't even need to know how to swap a wheel out in-case of a flat hence the run flats. The BMW tool kits was a nifty idea, I used mine numerous times back in the day. Changing window regulators, repairing coolant hoses etc. the only kit i see is the First Aid kit in the area where the battery tray cover used to be in the E46. There's also no flashlight in the glove-box, another nifty tool missing in the G20.

I remember the flashlight in the glove box had it in my early E90. was a good idea always was charged and ready I forgot if it had a LED bulb though. Think I had an umbrella slot too for the BMW umbrella another cool idea... It's funny that Ferrari still gives white Ferrari Gloves to fix your flat tire on the road so you don't get your hands dirty. lol. Imagine the person that would actually use it?

Mine came with a tool kit. It's under a cover on the driver side in the trunk (not the main cover.) It has a tow hook and screw driver, nothing special.

I asked the dealer where the locking wheel Nut tool was when I picked mine up - nobody knew! It was eventually located in a cubby hole on the left hand side of the boot** floor as you look from the back of the car - probably the same location as mentioned above.

** 'trunk' for our American friends

Yep.... and as Andybird states also where the locking key for the alloys is kept... at least here in the U.K.

You all either need to read the manual or get to know your cars better.

Discovered it pretty much at delivery....... Now it is far from a tool kit but you are more than welcome to complete it if needed.

I found mine at delivery because I sure as hell wasn't going to leave the stealership without knowing I had the locking wheel nut key!

As others have said, not much in there, but the screwdriver at least means you can prise open up the boot liner. I've shoved a few extra tools in the tiny space around the battery. Tow rope, jump start cables, disposable gloves, first aid kit, flare gun, 3 weeks worth of army rations, inflatable doll, an old tin of spam and a few chocolate bar wrappers.

The usual stuff really...

I have a tool kit in my g20 320d left hand side of boot theres a plastic lid. pull it up and the tool is under there. but I think its really just a screwdriver and the towing eye.
