Hi All

I thought I might start a thread which we can discuss all the cleaning products/tips/tools/processes/techniques you use to keep your baby in showroom condition

My first question is what product do you use to polish your dashboard it seems to be made out of an interesting plastic/granite looking material.

I am using the Bowden range so far and they have been very good

A good one I tried for after you washed the car is Boss Gloss , it really puts a mirror like polish on the car. Just spray and buff off

I bought two of these drop bear cloths , one to apply and one to polish/buff

I just tried the Oakwood Leather Kit ( The moisturiser) on the seats and the steering wheel , comes out very well !!

I use a detailer 90% of the time, but otherwise I use Autoglym for everything. https://www.autoglym.com.au/

I've ceramic coated my car with Carpro CQuartz Uk 3.0 which is a great product and makes routine maintenance washes a breeze. I also use;

Carpro Reset - maintenance washes
Carpro Reload - spray gloss coating
Meguirs Interior Detailer - interior care
Zaino Z10 leather treatment - leather areas

All these products are available at Au online stores.

I use the Autoglym products inside and out. Not sure if the leather conditioner does anything on the Vernasca given the leather has some sort of protective coating on it.

Umm I think I wanted more comments on general cleaning so not sure a poll would give that, also no idea how to do one

Quick one what tool does everybody use to clean their mags to get into all those hard to get into spaces.

I like Bowdens stuff.

Especially their leather care products, which appear to be water based so the leather stays 'new' with a 'matt' finish. I hate to see near new cars where the leather has been destroyed so they are unnaturally shiny. Yuk.

I noticed the M sport brakes produce a fair bit of brake dust. I bought the Bowdens wheely clean and a generic brush and it worked a treat.

For my M340i I give it a quick hose down, and then a thick coat of Autoglym Polar blast snow foam. Then wash and rinse using the 2 bucket method with Autoglym foaming wash. And then dry off with a RapidDry XXL cloth.
If it needs a polish I have always used Menzerna Superfinish polish and Menzerna Powerlock sealant.
Windows I use Autoglym glass polish. Haven't put anything on my Vernasca leather yet, but I'd probably also use Autoglym. For the interior screens I just wipe with a spectacle cleaning cloth

Ah thanks for that TikiTourer , have not done the foaming yet but will try soon, have tried the Bowdens glass cleaner and it works very well, better than the standard Windolene

Garden blower

Hi all

Does anybody use a garden blower to dry their car ?

Less rubbing when drying 😄👍

If you do what has been your experience

I was looking at getting one of these

https://sydneytools.com.au/product/m...ower-skin-only

Anybody use any other brand

Advantages /disadvantages

There are dedicated blowers for cars that blow hot air as well

Just wondering if it is worth it

The Milwaukee blower blows air at like 100km hahah and is portable

So you should be able to dry your car pretty fast

Thanks

@firetitanx - my detailer recommended this... https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/172758043288
I use this and it not too expensive it breaks the bank the only thing this is wired. No need for wireless as your pressure washer is corded so just switch once done washing it's really compact too

I am a fan and user of CarPro products. Also use a kranzle pressure washer with foam cannon. I feel they relatively easy to use and give great results. FYI tons of products reviews and how to's on YouTube

I thought I was the only one who used a
Blower haha my neighbours always stare

I bought a Ryobi workshop blower skin, which used the same batteries as all my other tools.
Works a treat, small and compact.

Thanks, I've been looking for a blower as the proper car ones are too costly. The Ryobi workshop blower looks the business. Off to Bunnings in the morning!!!

Ah nice which one did you get the brushless jet blower or the other one?
The brushless jet one has a big round nozze and the other one is more flat and squashed
