I'm not willing to break any rules. If they won't allow us to take any pics then I won't. I asked the question at bmw belux. They have still not responded since it Friday and I think everybody went home.

Thanks! That’s good indeed

The lightly camouflaged cars now running around also support that those renders are good but nothing like a confirmation from someone who has seen it as you have.

Looking forward to your impressions from the event!

It's ok I don't mind it. That's the forum hard life. 🙂

From the press drives where they drove the base G8X back to back with the F82 comp. the general comments has been that it has a deeper tone than the F8X which is something easily lost in the recording of a sound clip or the playback device.

Personally I suspect it will sound marginally better.

Yes I agree with you. That's why I want to see it in person. On video I could not tell the difference to be honest.

I went to see the IOM green M3 yesterday and had your post at the forefront of my mind when en route. And still, I am not 100% sure.

I think the production front end is closest to the White car in the post above you, as respects where the hood line resides in relation to the coffin cutouts.

Man the white one look terrible (turtle) while the red one looks quite amazing. Hoping you are wrong

My views maybe irrelevant. I'm sorry I'm not that technical with the lines and everything. I'm just trying to share my opinion of the car. I don't have the pics to double check that for you as he handed me his phone. I'm also pretty sure that the same car will be at the event next month in Belgium
Thanks, Erind.

Thanks, RowanBuds. Unfortunately, I prefer the bonnet line in the red render. Also, I'm not keen on the grille and the bonnet line is a further negative. Hopefully, the car looks ok in the metal. As others have mentioned, the color of the car is critical for this unfortunate design.

They are totally different colours, Austin Yellow is metallic, Sao Paulo is I believe Uni paint.

Shade of the yellow is also different and Sao is very vibrant colour, in my opinion it suits the car well.
But you will be able to spot the car from miles away

You may have seen them but back in October 2019 there was a clear pic (the production line one) of the front bumper line and in June there was a front end shot that shows the full front with no camo (night time shot outside).

I will see the car in person this sunday at a Bmw track event in Circuit Zolder. If you want any info just let me know and I will be sure to write it down. Taking pictures is a no go.

Could you find out how much it weighs and what the quoted drag times are? Very curious to know if they have lightened the car to be lighter than the F80 or not.

Interested to know about the supposed "track package" or what suspension upgrades will be available for the base/6MT.

When I saw it a couple weeks ago, they couldn't tell me, they said both will come out on 9/23.

I'm hoping for a nod or a wink if they can't outright say lol. But if they look down or away, then maybe that's not so good haha

Yeah, I was pushing for something similar on the weight specifically, trying to spout out ranges, over/under, etc., then questioned if he even knew himself... he quickly spouted out some other knowledge on this and previous gen to make sure I knew he wasn't just there to look pretty.
