“Key not found” issues after the latest update?
After the update, I'm constantly getting key not found messages. At one point my car refused to start even with the key placed on steering column.
Anyone else?

+1. Also, when I leave most of the time the car won't lock. I had to come back every time and use the door handle
After the recent OTA update to 11/2019 from 7/2019 |

There was another thread about this and people ended up having to have some sort of sensor replaced IIRC. I'll look for it.
Key Not Detected https://g20.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1748025 Might need comfort access antenna replaced

Same for me.
If it's a iDrive bug, replacing anything won't fix this issue. It's software. Not hardware. This could be a wait and see fix. Next update may smooth some rough edges.

Mine is on 11/2019.5 and I have the same issues with the key not recognized along with another list of various issues. I got the update but I'm not gonna do it. Seems a lot of people are having even more issues with them.

This happened to me and I have absolutely no idea why but changing the battery in the key fobs fixed the problem for me. This was the case for both sets of keys... one of which stays in my office and never gets used. Very very weird... but for a minimal cost for two batteries I was happy to resolve the issue myself.
Full disclaimer here... I have no idea if that will fix your issue but it happened to me after the OTA update... and just sharing in case it helps. Good luck! |

Same here
I've had the same problem here, 3 times in a month or so, each time I could start again after about 1h or so. Second and third time I managed to open the car from the iDrive app, but could not start it (until I had waited for that 1h or so)
Got the car late July, this happened twice in August First time they told me it was to do with a door not closing properly, the second time they replace the battery in the key. It happened again last Friday, This time I went straight back to the garage, they told me I needed to come in for an update (so I guess they beleive they may have found the bug?). We'll see.... J |
