Any other links to a press release with more detail? anything from bmwna?

I would have to guess these are going to be factory options due to the install complexity? Though probably only the german factories and not SLP.

Same here, or at least an option for both. The old school small sunroof opening looks out of place on a new gen car in any price category.

I would actually settle for an all steel roof with no sunroof. I never open the damn thing, not even the sun shade. It should have at least been a delete option.

Great news !

I placed an order last week for a M340i sedan and I was just on the phone with my dealer to take the carbon roof and also the carbon fiber trim as options

Very happy that it's available on a 3 series !

Whilst the weight saving is great I can't imagine why BMW would offer this option on any Msport 3/4 series rather than keeping it exclusively for M cars? M owners going to be salty about this I think

Same lol and I live in sunny SFL I truly hope they build a limited M340i RWD at say 3700 lbs as final hoorah to the end of an ICE era. Throw in a manual as well as this carbon roof, 30 hp bumP, which is easily done via a mild tune. This would make a great alternative to the G80.

It's only offered for the sedan/coupe, at least for now.

It's also not the same as the M3/M4 roof apparently.

It's only available for the M cars (the M performance models Mx40x to be precise), though I see what you are getting at...

I would assume it's the same. Maybe you are referring to the article from Bimmertoday but I think they are wrong.
