Has anyone received a custom plate recently that can tell me how long it took? I ordered mine 3 months ago and now theyre telling me its a 9-12 month wait lol

I ordered mine at the beginning of November but no clue when it will be here. I saw the 9-12 month wait listed on the DMV website about a year ago but I didn’t see that anywhere when I ordered this plate. Eagerly awaiting the plate as this is the last part of my white and chrome deletion.

Had a feeling that would be the case, I wish there was any sort of update from the DMV on these.

So weird my cousin ordered his a month before mine and got his at exactly month 2. But he ordered via triple A

Just asked another DMV employee where my plates were and he said he thinks they shipped in December, but the address didnt have my apartment number so theyre lost. I got my regular plates delivered to my mail box though so I am not sure if thats correct. I submitted an address change and added my apt # so we will see if they show up. He said the wait time for custom plates are 4 weeks now........ so no clue wtf is going on lol @boxdotjpeg

Wouldn’t be surprised if they lost our orders or deleted the database of them at this point LOL. Hopefully they will get it together soon, I expected it to be a slow process but not this slow. I might give them a call as well to see if they have any additional info.

Pre covid mine took 3 months, during the latter half of covid, gf's took 11 months...LOL. Good luck :/.

Did you receive an email from the DMV prior to the plates arriving? The call bot mentions receiving an email once the plates are ready, but also tells me the wait is 9 months. so much for “8-12 weeks”, going on week 22.

Here we are in week 24, got a hold of the DMV and they said my plates were sent out the first week of March… now they want me to apply for replacements which will take another “5-6 weeks”. At this rate I might only have these plates for a few months by the time I get a different car.
