Hopefully you are all on the Grand Orion, mine didn't show that it was on the ship through BMW until 2-3 days after the ship actually departed and they backlogged it. Wishing you all speedy shipping!

i saw that. checked with genius and they didn't have any vessel assignment. you'd think that once you passed "awaiting carrier assignment" that a carrier has actually been assigned.

in poking around, i came to find that this "assignment" refers to the carrier that transports the vehicle to port, not from port elsewhere.

Are you on the west coast? Looks like I’m about 8 days behind you. When are you expecting to take delivery?

yeah, o.c.

i haven't been notified of any delivery date. it's a crap shoot until they assign a ship to transport it. i've seen nightmare scenarios on here where people have waited many months with "at the port" status. so i only know i'll need to be patient at this point. good luck.

I called Genius, she said my car left the factory on the 12th and they won't know if my car made the GRAND ORION until the day after the ship leaves. So if you were waiting for a carrier, we will all know tomorrow who made the ship.

I placed my order on 7/28, entered production on 9/6, spent 9 days in quality check, and now going on day 8 of final assembly. This makes me sad.

to be clear, i took over an exiting order that someone abandoned. so 8/1 was not when my order was truly originated. at least this is what i'm told. they said they "flexed" an existing order, whatever that means.

i mean even then my actual production date was 9/6, when my car entered the assembly line and progressed all the way to quality check in a single day. then proceeded to get stuck in quality check status for longer than it took yours to go from the assembly line all the way to the port. My car is currently status 160, released to distribution. BMW Genius says my car is fully built and is still waiting to enter the workshop, whatever that is.

the only thing i can think of is possibly waiting for more available ships to push more cars through to schedule for carriers. but...my car was built before yours, how are cars built AFTER mine sent through before mine? idk, im just impatient and salty is all.

That's great, significantly lower than the other rates I have heard recently. BMW was at 3.99% under my rate lock but I decided to go elsewhere. Hope your car arrives soon, looks like it is close!
