I have a 2021 M440xi, 19's, square set up. I believe the width of my wheels are 8". With that being said if I decide to look at bigger tires front and rear plus staggered, what are the max size tires I can run on front and rear? Example: 235/40/19 fr, 255/35/19 rr.... what issues would I have?

Those 8 inch wide wheels are cramping your options, I'm afraid. A bump up in width to 235 in front is no problem, but neither a 255/35 nor a 265/35 fits an 8-incn wide rim.

Your options as I see it:

a) Bite the bullet and buy staggered wheels so you can run staggered tires. 225/40R-19 front and 255/35R-19 rear is the ticket, but 235/40R-19 front and 265/35R-19 rear might fit.

b) Less ambitiously, upsize your 225/40R-19s to 235/40R-19s all-around.

What Llary said….. safest upsize with stock 8” wheels is 235/40/19. Anything larger can cause issues and may become dangerous with excessive tire flex. If you want wider tires then you need to buy wider wheels. Check out Apex wheels.

Based upon the stock rims at 8" on a square set up (x-drive), could I increase the new wheels to 9" fr, 9.5" rear? Stock suspension...

Not sure about the offset limits either with the increase in rim width.

Does anyone have a set up they're running now with a bump in wheel/tire size they could provide?
