Stage 2 questions

Just wondering about the safety of going stage 2 with my current mods. currently running bm3 stage one on my 330i. The only required mod listed for stage 2 is a catless downpipe, which I installed recently. Any other mods I should look into for the safety of my engine?

Side note, anybody know how much horsepower you can get out of the b48 safely?

This graphic from Navardi lays it out pretty well.

I’m running stage 2 on BM3 currently. I have VRSF catless DP installed, and as far as I know, you should be alright with just that. I got a chargepipe (FTP) just to be safe. I hear the OEM chargepipe can crack with the higher boost from stage 2. I also have a Dinan CAI but this shouldn’t be needed in terms of stage 2. Haven’t had any problems with my setup so far.

It’s not needed but recommended you have high performance (one step colder) spark plugs. It’s also recommended (as per BMS) to run a tighter gap. Usually anywhere around 0.018”-0.022”. Also a set of high performance ignition coils wouldn’t hurt as well. Depending on whether or not you get a custom tune, tuners can squeeze a bit more power out of the higher output coils.
