Hey all just joined the forum and owned my g20 for about a week. Super happy about the car but annoyed at 1 feature. I set up my personal profile and the welcome message on my car displays my email! I tried logging in as guest and logging back to my profile but it doesnt help. Also the option for set title is greyed out so I cannot select it. Any advice is super appreciated! Thanks

Have you tried logging in to your BMW Connected Drive account online?

You may be able to change it from there.

Thanks for the response! I have on my phone, but i might give laptop a go and see if it makes a difference. Its just strange why it would be greyed out whats the big deal about changing my name in my car lol

I corrected my first name by logging in on the web page. I think it was in the iDrive the instruction said that that's how it's done.

Yup. You have to go through the website. Changing it in the app doesn't help. I had a similar issue.

Still struggling, i found a nickname option but don't think thats it. Still can't figure out why my email is displayed and not my name!

When you go to https://connecteddrive.bmwusa.com/ap...portal/my-data, what do you see under the first name and last name sections?

Edit - Just noticed that you are in London. My bad. You guys must have something similar to connecteddrive there?

Under first and last name its exactly that, my first and last name lol. Its connectdrive as well, i have the option for title which lists doctor, lawyer, none. And the last option is nickname

That's weird. In mine, my email ID was entered under my first name, which was why my car showed that. There's also an option in the iDrive which asks how you want the car to greet you (first name only, first name and last name, etc). Did you check to see if that has been set correctly? I think you click the settings option at the bottom right corner to go to that option (when the iDrive is displaying the welcome message).
