Got the notification for the update today for my 2023 M340i. Things went and installed smoothly. Took a few shots of the various screens in the myBMW app.

Couple things I noticed:

• Some of the fonts are more stylized.
• The HUD used to clear the directions/maps when showing information like music track changes. Now it fades directions/maps into the background and displays music track changes on top of it.
• The paths on the BMW nav maps and on the HUD are colored better.

How do I get this update on 2023 330i? I've tried finding updates via Idrive 8, but nothing. My BMW app also says nothing...I believe my car is on 03/2023.5

Aside from going to the dealer, I don't think there is a way to force the update. Your car/phone will notify you when it becomes available to you. It sounds like it's been slowly rolling out recently so it may just be a matter of weeks.

I did the update earlier today. The only thing I noticed is it changed my climate control to fresh air. Newsflash: There's no fresh air here in San Antonio

2023 m340i updated from march 2023 to July 2023 version. My rear view camera is misaligned and the icons are out of place.

I tried restarting iDrive by holding down the power button but it didn’t fix it. I hope it fixes by itself in the next days. I’ll report back if that’s the case.

If not, to a reset personal data , that resets everything to stock and should fix these

Thanks. I parked and turned off the car, left for 30 min, then started the car again. It’s fixed now.

Hi guys can you tell how the availability of software update work. I have 2020 330i and it still shows I have 03/2023.60 version running it does not show 07/2023 version on app and idrive both.

ramparts - I updated to 07/2023.53 in October, are you asking about 07/2023.67 specifically? I am not sure what difference is there between .xx and .yy. Is it just e.g. region variant?

It's just a patch release to the 7/23 branch. I'm already running 11/23 anyways, but I was intruiged at the rollout strategy BMW are employing. Seems they cherry pick a certain release (probably the most current at the time), then release it to a model series.

That will be why we got .553 and the X5/i4's got .567 this week.

My 330e was in for warranty work 2 weeks ago and they replaced one of the ECU’s , and updated to 11/2023.25, I haven’t noticed any differences at all apart from that it’s completely broken my charging with my zappi charger, the car starts to charge, then for some unknown reason tells the zappi to stop, flashes up and error and refuses to resume the charge. Happens no matter if I have a timed charge set on the zappi and charge immediately in the car, or a timed charge in the car with the zappi in fast mode (charge anytime) so it’s causing me some major issues trying to charge the car. It charges no issues at all with the granny lead, and I know it’s not the charger as my wife’s Nissan leaf works without any issues at all 🙄 going to have to wait to the new year to contact my dealer see if they can do a rollback to 07.2023 which worked perfectly, or if there’s a newer 11/2023 version which fixes it 😖

2021 G20 with iDrive 7 here. I’m still at 03/2023.50 and didn’t receive the latest update as everyone else. When I check for updates in iDrive it says no updates are available.

Same, i suspect bmw is focusing on ID8+ / ID9 now, so we pre-LCI owners get the short end of the update stick

My 2019 is on 07/2021… that one was done by the dealer because I didn’t have Android connectivity.

I’ve only ever received one OTA update.

I recently got a software update notification in My BMW app and it was able to download and says its uploaded to the car also, but been about a week now since this happened and yet to receive any notification on cars screen update will be installed.

Any way to force this to begin?

It's been well over a year since an update and just don't recall last one taking to long to actually install in car.

RSU 11/2023.50 started rolling OTA in Europe for the pre-LCI GXX series. I guess soon the LCI cars will start receiving it as well.

No mention of that, but the thread so far had been mainly 'bout the usual "RSU downloaded but does not install"
