Getting started with coding - what do I get?

Hi

I have a G20 2020 330i and want to code certain things (like the seatbelt chime off) and whatever other options may be available.

What are my options as far as what's out there? I see people mentioning BimmerCode - are there others too I should check out?

And what do I have to buy both in terms of adapter and software? Does it all depend on the phone I have? (I have a Galaxy Note 8).

Thanks

You should learn how to search as all of your questions have been answered here.

Bimmer code is the best bang for the buck. They have recommended adapters on their site.

You can go ESYS route if you have experience with coding and want to do advanced coding. There is a detailed thread on this one as well.

First and foremost - welcome to the forum. Bimmercode app is probably your best place to start and the nice thing is they offer a demo mode so you can get a sense of what is available to you.

Hope this helps

I did search.

My questions were not answered. At least not in a direct way.

(thanks for the info. re Bimmercode and esys - good to know one of the difference is comfort level with coding. Takes esys out of the picture for me)

Thank you chenry.

Seems like a good place to start, just to get a sense of it.

Thanks!
