X3M Comp 0-60 time is 4.0 with 8sp auto
and
2020 M4 coupe 0-60 time is 4.1 with DCT and RWD (has 425hp)

So based on the above, G80 M3 Pure (RWD 6MT) only gains a few tenths on the X3M at most. Maybe 3.8 seconds? No way this is a 3.1 second car.

Remember, I'm talking BMW's published time which is always a couple tenths too conservative, but still not 3.1.
my friend did a 3.19 0-60 on his x3mc with a bm3 stage 1 tune, no boltons

I hate BMW MT's, too rubbery, clutch pedal vague!
I hated the MT on my E92 M3.

I am a bit o corned with he front end that is so high off the ground. It does not look good.

Other part I suppose there will be many people out there making front retrofit for the car.

Can't wait to see.

This. I don't watch YouTuber reviews.

They're all synthetic and pointless

Everyone is so worried about the exterior...

I'm pretty concerned that the interior is going to be bland as all hell based on some of these photos. The ridiculous amount of silver trim on the dash and such. Won't surprise me if they switch it up to black chrome like they did 2 years into the life cycle of the F8x.

Need the reveal already!

Yeah I'm not a fan of all the silver trim, I hope there's a black chrome option right away.

So no criticize on steering from C&D? Guess it's per usual the light hand approach to prototype, would be great if steering feedback is back

In the promo vid from BMW last week the head of development stated they tried very hard to remove road "friction" and that the goal was to make it an "easy car to drive."

So yeah, forget about that.

This is no different than the E46. The car debuted with silver trim, but there was also an anthracite option. BMW interiors have always been purposely spartan. Current interiors are some of the most lively ever offered by BMW without going Individual.

Friction could be referring to EPS steering boost and not necessarily that BMW is dialing out the ability to determine what the road is doing.

So yeah, forget about that.
Mechanical friction in the steering system limits the amount of road feedback that is channeled to the steering wheel and requires added assist to lighten the effort. Removing mechanical friction from the steering system is a good thing.

That's still a prototype. We could potentially see something different at production. If not, it's no deal breaker for me.

From Autocar

But while the engine impresses, itís the chassis that really moves the M3's game along. Itís described as being all new and largely bespoke, with only the pick-up points for the suspension, which will come as standard with adaptive damping, being shared with the standard 3 Series. In a now familiar move, BMW M has developed a new engine strut brace that serves to stiffen the entire front-end structure quite significantly. That provides the basis for even greater fluidity and handling poise than with the standard 3 Series and prototype versions of the 4 Series we've driven recently. At the same time, it has provided the new M3 with a much wider front track than at any time in the past.

Well I hope you're right, but BMW has consistently engineered out steering feedback from their vehicles since 2010, they've even admitted it. I don't trust this M3/4 to be any different.
