we were doing 11% all day on M340s all day in March, April and May, but inventory has dried up so dealers are pulling back on how deep them will go. It's crazy now...5-8% is the range until dealers get more inventory.

Sounds like a horrible time for anyone to get a new BMW... 5-8% is nothing.

Just curious. Anyone on here recently buy a used m340i either private or cpo? What kind of deals are you getting?

I'll just interject here, I test drove a $63,220 M340. I was quoted at $2500 down and $695 a month, 10,000 miles a year for thirty six months. Funny, I think they just wanted me out the door because I e-mailed them a bunch of times.

2021 custom builds are now available at all dealers. They were released just this week.

You should target 8-9% off before incentives and a base money factor

8% flat, or 8% plus all available incentives at time of delivery?

Garage List
2015 BMW F30  [0.00]
I've shared this a couple of times but will do so again-

If anyone in the MN and/or Iowa area is looking for a dealership who will offer 8+ % off a custom build, PM for details.

I was able to ultimately receive a little under 10% + base MF on my order in the winter of '19. Original offer was 8.5% but they offered more due to how long it took the vehicle to arrive (partly due to Covid and partly due to needing the allocation at that time). They also gave me the best offer on my previous F30.

The other dealerships in MN weren't even willing to negotiate at all, and that was well before we had a pandemic on our hands.

Just thought I'd share

The MF and residual for the my21 isn’t out yet. I would recommend to be be on the look out for that information when it’s available so the dealer doesn’t catch you slipping. I’m sure the dealer will do right by you but it doesn’t hurt to dot your I’s and cross your T’s

The real question is: when do you lock the MF and incentives? Traditionally, you lock the MF, residual, and incentives for the month you place the order, assuming you have your credit run. You then have the option to keep those terms or switch to the MF, residual, and incentives for the month you take delivery. Here, since there are *no* available numbers for July, do you get any rate/incentive lock? Or are you stuck with the delivery month numbers?

Correct. We agreed up the deal based on a % of the MSRP with base MF, etc. The GM knows I know how to calculate a lease price and will question a $1 difference. I’ll accept whatever MF/residual is available when the numbers come out. My last 3 BMW leases have been handled this way as I’ve been right on the edge of the new MY.

I ordered this month, I assume numbers will come out in August, I’ll lock those, and have the option of September programs if they’re any better. Dealer isn’t submitting credit app until there are programs to lock.

Good deal, nice work! Do you have an allocation? Do you know if it’s a Mexico of Germany built car?

If you plan on ordering one the easiest way to tell if it’s a Germany or Mexico build is if dravit or T-blue (midnight blue) is available. For some reason the Mexico builds don’t offer those 2 colors. On the order sheet if you see 213A it’s Mexico, 213Z is Germany

Any idea how these allocations are being distributed? How hard is it going to be to find a 213Z allocation, if you want dravit or tanzanite?

No idea there is someone in the order/tracking thread who got a Germany build in dravit that’s currently at the port. There have been reports that the Germany plant is behind on over 14k cars. My educated guess would be once they catch up it would be available. I contacted bmw genius they couldn’t give a answer.

Yes, my dealer just got their ‘21 M340i xDrive allocations earlier this week. All of them were 213As ... Mexico builds. My car is scheduled for week 32.

I am currently stationed in Germany and got an offer for a 2020 M340i Xdrive. MSRP is 67,375. The offer was 60,697 OTD. This price does include free shipping back to the states when I leave Germany in 4 years. I would estimate that at around $1,500 or so in value. Is this a good deal, or is there room to negotiate?

Prices are USD not Euro. This is a US Spec Car.

It's tough to assess without knowing what incentives you qualify for and which are applied. Will the dealer share that information with you? I'm also not sure how discounts should work overseas for service members. Additionally, since this is an OTD price, the tax rate would also affect the quality of the deal. Ideally you want to know what the selling price is, before incentives and before tax. That will allow you to compare to other deals. This is the best approach because everyone qualifies for different incentives, which also vary by month and location, and everyone will have a different tax rate.

There is no tax and no incentives when you are overseas. The $6k discount is an overseas military price. So the price of the car is the OTD price which includes shipping back to the states and nothing else.

OK, so to try to assess better, if you assume in the USA you could net $3000 in combined incentives ($1000 lease cash and $2000 corp/loyalty), you are getting a $3670 pre-incentive discount. Based on the MSRP you gave, that would be a 5.45% pre-incentive discount. If that was here in the US, I'd say that's not a great discount. I've been told, at the moment, you can get a custom allocation from a US dealer for 9% or 10% off before incentives. Again, I have no idea how overseas dealers discount, what bonuses they may or may not get, or even if this is a good comparison. But that's the best assessment I can make for you.
