Mine hasn't changed status in over a week. The reps say it's at the port waiting on a ship. About how long would that normally take? how long does it normally take to get to the US from Mexico?

Sounds like yours might be on the Apollon Highway as well. Yours went to "In Transit" around the same time as mine.

I placed my order about 5 weeks ago and still haven’t gotten a production number to track the progress, sigh. I was told I should be getting it within the next 10 days

Mine sat at the port in MX for 22 days before it left on a boat and took 8 days to get to its destination in GA. It arrived today. Now to see how long it takes to get down to me.

Based on that information, the ship left Mexico around the 25th. It goes to Galveston TX first which takes 2-3 days, then another 8 days or so to Brunswick, and another couple days from there to Baltimore. So depending on where in the US your car will be offloaded, it will take between 3 days and 2 weeks once it's on the ship. |

Yeah I figured its pretty behind. I'm not in a rush since I still have my current Audi lease through the end of July, but my understanding is that BMW FS locks in your rates and deal for 60 days, so I'm hoping it won't go past that time frame. I've heard that they can lock it in longer if the car takes too long, but not sure how accurate that is. The good news is once it gets to NY (the port is actually in NJ though) my dealer is right over the tunnel so it'll probably be pretty quick once its offloaded. |

The dealer will resubmit the finance/lease application before it expires to renew it. If the rates are better, you will get that, if not, you should be locked in to the previously agreed upon numbers. The down side is that they will run your credit report again. You may have to remind your SA to resubmit the application. |

Just got off the phone with customer relations. So the tracker still shows it as ready for transport as it has for the past few weeks, but the rep said that it had left the port and is in transit. She didn't have an estimated arrival date or a vessel name though - but still good news
