OTA update to 11/2019.70
I was just pushed my first OTA update. The update process was simple and I had no issues.
My car was upgraded to 11/2019.70 from 11/2019.40. Does anyone know where I can find a detailed set of release notes to see what has been fixed or added? Everything was really stable beforehand and still is. I'm curious about what has been updated. |

Location in sig clearly shows Australia. Hopefully USA gets this next. I am still running last July version.

Asterix I expected that to happen on any update anyway (that's why I made a list of all settings changed)
Have you tried coding everything back? Any issues? |

@G20.rjm,
Returning to your original question, here's the way BMW sets up software updates as best I understand it. They release major updates in March, July & November; additionally, minor updates are made & are shown by the numbers after decimal. Minor updates are kind of "tweaks & bug fixes", while major add or fix functions -- if you go to BMW portal, there's release notes for major updates (at least in North America). So my car has software version 07/2019.70 -- major update of July 2019 with minor update 70. Unfortunately, since I'm in US, it was done by dealer & not OTA BTW, as I anxiously read the press release (I have Android phone), BMW will FINALLY provide Android Auto this July -- so I am awaiting version 07/2020. Hope that helps!

Just go to the dealership and say you're having issues with iDrive. They are upgrading to 03/2020.58

I haven't noticed much difference from 11/2019. Mine seemed pretty stable. Maybe I'll have to drive more to notice more.
The only change or improvement I have noticed is that the "Hey BMW" commands seem to be a lot quicker to respond, and you can speak a little more naturally now. It wasn't bad before but the pauses have been reduced.
