Advise on M340 with H&R springs + Front lip?

Hey guys, haven't posted in a long time, but I have my M340 for a year now & LOVING IT! After going to a BMW meet yesterday I pulled the trigger on buying sports H&R springs.

I recently put 13mm spacers all around on my staggered setup, and it really would look best with a drop.

I also bought a front lip 2 weeks ago which I did not install yet (mod season): https://maxtondesign.ca/collections/...30754831761543

Question, will adding the lip after lowering be too much? I do live in Canada (Montreal specifically) with crappy roads, and I don't want to scrap it. Hoping for some suggestions from others who have had a similar setup.

Certainly, installing a front lip on a lowered car is doable but it demands caution.

As your car is already lowered, you can use this as a reference for the clearance you currently have.
Before installing the front lip, measure its thickness and compare it to the current ground clearance. This will give you an idea of how much closer the lip will be to the ground once installed.

Thanks Mike. The pictures are showing stock, I didn't receive the springs yet. But good idea to estimate the height...

A few buddies suggested removing the lip for winter since we get a lot of snow, and putting it back in the spring. Not if that's a good idea...

I’ve been to Montreal a handful of times and I think you could pull it off. Just get a cheap one and replace when you inevitably break it. Won’t be the snow that gets you

Understood; I thought you had already received and installed the springs.

In my case, I'm adding a front lip to my car, which is already significantly lowered. However, I've planned for this as my springs are adjustable. I anticipate that I'll need to slightly raise the car to accommodate the additional clearance required by the front lip.

Let me know how you like the H&R springs. I’m in NJ with mild to very bad roads and I’m regretting having them installed, just a warning.

How come you regret it? Harsh? Do you have run flats? Mine came with Michelin Pilot 4S for summer... but my winters are RFT.

There are several front lips out there that have different thickness/height as Mike mentioned. I treat front lips like a disposable commodity. Don’t be surprised if it gets busted after one time curbing a parking block, or not angling the car enough when going down a steep driveway.

I switched to Conti DWS's for winter and 4S's for summer. Still not pretty harsh. I'm ok with it being stiff, I'm not ok when it gives a very hard knock on medium bumps and noisy too. light squeak on slow compressions.

Update!

Installed Dinan Springs & Handling kit thanks to our friends @[mike@x-ph.com](contact:216704

I also added:

-M4 Style Spoiler
-Rear M performance diffuser
-Maxton Design front lip
-13 mm spacers all around (staggered wheels)

Rear is pretty flush... debating to put 15mm in front possibly
Highly recommend the Dinan springs, not harsh and rebound much improved.

Rebound much improved how?
What are your thoughts now on the Dinan springs after a bit of winter in Montreal?
Just a fellow Canadian debating about getting them. Thanks.

What adjustable springs to you have? I am leaning towards Dinan springs, but would love some adjustable ones as my OCD may be triggered if the drop is not exactly what I am looking for.
