2021 BMW m340i Coding Help
Hello fellow BMW owners.
Can someone please direct me to the right instructions for how to use a laptop to code my 2021 BMW m340i? I am specifically looking to: 1. Determine which model car I have. F20, G20, whatever... 2. What software I need to install 3. What hardware I need to purchase. 4. Instructions on how to enable anti-dazzle headlights I've read through tons of posts, but I am lost. So many acronyms and shorthand phrases that I don't understand yet. I don't know and can't determine which model engine/code system I have. I see many posts saying just to ask questions, no matter how silly, so I thought I would try. Please help! Thank you kindly! |

1. A 2021 M340i is a G20 with the B58TU engine
2. Software - Bimmercoding (recommended for beginners/noobs); esys (for more experienced people) 3. Hardware - For esys, you'll need a wired cable and a laptop (Enet OBD cable). For Bimmercode, depending on your phone, you can go for a wired or wireless connection (wired preferred but depends on if your phone supports it). A list of connectors is available on the BC website (https://bimmercode.app/adapters/) 4. To code anti-dazzle, you'll need esys and other software (experts will chime in as to which software you need; I haven't done it since my car doesn't have LASER lights and I have no idea how to use esys). You can check out the thread below for more info. https://g20.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...610992&page=11
