Title says it all - I don't know what's going on with my navigation system but the entire iDrive 7 is unbelievably slow. To start, it's massively clunky and choppy... which I'm not even sure if it was like that when I first got it. On top of the clunky-ness, my location goes haywire ALL THE GD time. Sometimes it'll be off by like 20 yards, thinking I'm driving over neighborhoods, other times off by like a mile in any direction.

But anyways, has anyone else had these issues with their navigation? I'm sick of getting 1/2 to my destination only for the navigation to start giving me corrections on directions because it thinks I'm driving through houses and buildings.

Just to clarify, this is occurring through your phones navigation system via CarPlay, or android auto, correct?

In other words, you are not referencing the cars built in navigation system, correct?

I am having the same problem, as our others, with iPhone And CarPlay giving erroneous location while navigating

No, it's on the BMW map; the map on the phone (Google/Apple Maps) were fine.

Just today it was off by 2 miles east, 1 mile south.

Sounds like a bad GPS antenna connection, but I don't know if that can effect the performance of the rest of the iDrive functions.

The rest of the iDrive functions work well; it was just the bad navigation. I believe the antenna was removed at one point though.
