I remember hearing before that due to COVID and supply chain issues, certain features were being deleted. For example, power seats were deleted, and cars came with manual seat adjustment. Also, deletion of the touch screen for iDrive. I recently spoke to a sales agent, and he said that the BMW Digital Card is one thing that might be still getting deleted.

Are there features that are still getting deleted?

There seems to be but they are very model specific.

You will need to look at recent posts concerning the exact model you are looking at getting.

digital key card available if you get wireless charging (at least for the 3 series)

My M440 2023 arrived with a few features missing. The cubby on the left-hand side of the driver is missing. Ambient lighting in the door bins is gone. Pudding lights under the doors was deleted. Cargo nets behind the seats missing. I think that’s it. Still love the car but those things are disappointing.

that is super frustrating. when did you get your car? when did you order? According to my CA and the decoding I have done....my car was built with everything and there are no deletes listed. however, the items you listed are like "standard features" not options. Did they tell you before the car came in or did you find out at the dealer? I guess I need to make a list of things to check. I am not dropping this type of cash on a car missing features....period.

Ordered in September. Took delivery late December. No warning about the deleted items. Discovered them during the first few days of ownership. Annoyingly I have the BMW puddle lights from my old car but no place to install them on this car.

I’m missing dirver’s side cubby, door bin lighting, and puddle lights. I think I have the nets behind the seats. M440 GC ordered in Sep, built in Nov, delivered a week ago. Cubby is the only thing I’m sad about. I didn’t even know the other two were a thing.

Same here, the cubby is the only thing I wish was kept. I can manage without the others. I'm crossing my fingers the cubby was added back for 2023 production, but I'm not getting my hopes up.

How can you tell if your car has any options deleted?

My M340xi was built in Jan 2023.

https://bimmer.work/vin tells me what options are on the car, but I am not sure how to determine what is missing.

PS. I am in Australia, so don't believe the USA web site works to check if my car has any options deleted, due to supply issues.

My car was built in December and I also enquired about the deleted options.

Tldr - we’re missing the same as the above.

I checked out a m340i lci and confirmed it isn’t there and noted the car was fully specced (minus comfort access)

The cubby feature is a design thing, not a parts shortage.
