Google Pixel 7 Pro, Charging Pad on G20/G22
Hello, I own a BMW 4 series G22 and a cell phone bought recently. A Google pixel 7 pro.
Unfortunately, the blue light on the charging pad does not power on when I put the phone on it. I had no problem a few days ago with my old phone. I think more of a concern with Google on this model of phone or the location of the wireless charging system is not in the same place as the G22 Does anyone have the same problem? Do you have a solution? Thanks Dominique |

without a case, i find if i set my pixel 7 pro at just the right angle in the tray, sometimes it will light and charge. with a case it doesnt at all. I had a similar issue with my pixel 4xl although that worked sometimes with a case.
personally based on my experience and from what i've seen on these forums its really a bad design by bmw. ive never had any issues wirelessly charging either phone with other wireless chargers |

It's really not great, but yesterday i just kinda threw my pixel 7 pro in the charger area and the blue light light up for the first time since i've had this phone with the case on it. you'll see it's in there all goofy but it stayed charging like that

Ridiculous design flaw by Google, I think. Had the same issue with my Pixel 6 Pro, and now same thing with my Pixel 7 Pro. It's because of the camera visor that does not allow the Pixel sit flush to make contact with the charging pad.
That said, the BMW wireless charger is trash and slow, so you're better off just plugging in. |

I have a 2023 M340 LCI and am having the same problem with my Pixel 7 Pro. The solution here with the tip up one end of it worked for me but it made me think... There are some chargers that are designed to be long range, there are ones you can get to put under a table that will 'transmit' through the table and charge a phone above that has a case on it. So I started thinking, with the tip up method working and with funkahdafi reporting that a thicker case was charging without a problem I was curious if BMW had tuned the charger to have a slightly longer range to account for people using thicker cases. To test this theory I cut out a couple pieces of cardboard the size of my phone and put them on top of the charger.. Lo and behold 2 pieces of standard Amazon box was enough to not only perfectly connect each time but to efficiently and quickly charge the phone without getting hot! My Pixel 7 Pro has the Spigen Liquid Air case on it, over the course of my 15 min commute to work the BMW charged it from 92% to 98% which is faster than I have ever seen it charge and the phone was not even warm. I am guessing that by increasing the distance the induction charging was operating in the optimal zone increasing the efficiency and losing less power to heat. I can also confirm that the 2 pieces of cardboard do not interfere with the operation of the digital key and the car continues to start just fine! In my testing I found that for my case 2 pieces was the correct thickness, which is about 5-6mm (3/16" to 7/32") am going to start looking for something a little more fancy than Amazon cardboard. Maybe some sort of ribbed black silicone mat that will allow for some cooling? Give this a try and report back, I think I might be onto something here..

I have a 2020 m340i and my pixel 7 pro charges without any issues. It even got better once I got a case.
With the case, the phone fits in tightly and it doesn't move around at all, but putting it in and out of the charger is cumbersome. Amazon link for the case: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09Z5KFGQ8...p_mob_ap_share Edit: It was not great without the case |

I was having the same problems as OP. What did the trick was switching to the Everyday case from Peak Design. When using this case the back of my P7P rests flush with the wireless charger surface, the overall fit is now snug but not too much, so it works pretty well.
