My Trips in MyBMW App

Hi,
I noticed yesterday a new item in the Data Privacy in my 2020 M340's iDrive--MyTrips.

I checked & did a Google search on this feature; found out it provides an additional item on car screen of the app that provides mileage, time, MPG, etc for each trip.

In addition to checking the Data Privacy menu, I updated Data & Services in iDrive and logged out & back into app -- but no joy

Any thoughts?

"My trips" was working on my app but for some reason I went to login the app and it made be do the whole sign-up/ registration process again. The app works now, but my trips no longer works. It's activated in the data privacy section in the car and I restarted I drive. Any ideas how to make it work?

I'm pretty sure that there is a bug in the Store Version of the App...it isn't currently working in Android 2.9.2 (17848) although it was previously. My App version is Android 2.9.2 and my M340i is on 07/2022.57. BMW are aware of the problem

Thanks for the update!

Still no joy! About the only thing I haven't tried is to delete & re-install my profile in my car — a little reluctant to do so because it also deletes my wife's profile (secondary driver) & re-installing is a crap shoot

Seems like app version (same as stated above) TikiTourer is cause??

So my BMW app is not updating the status of my car. It's last trip data was from Sunday. I removed and reinstalled the app, made sure my privacy was set properly on my car and nothing...

Any ideas?

I had the same problem. Reboot iDrive by holding in the volume button at least 30 seconds.

It seems that a trip ends when turning off the car, so the two logged trips are correct according to that logic.

I did that about 6 times, no luck. also did the data privacy check boxes a few times. still cannot connect. Even deleted and reinstalled the App.

Having the same issue, no updates from the car since 11/1, were you able to fix this? I've tried deleting app and data, rebooting iDrive, re-pairing the phone. Wondering if the update broke something, might have to call BMW

Nope, called the dealer twice, both times the genius was busy awaiting a call back

Mine died last Sunday. I was in an area with no cell reception. Got in the car, drove home and it still thinks I'm parked there.

I'm getting pretty frustrated

FYI there is a my bmw app update 11/2. I Uninstalled the app, reinstall the updated app and now it works!

Nope. I'm now on that version and no luck.

I'm getting pretty pissed.

I'll call the dealer again tomorrow

Did they fix it? If not, in cases like yours, it's often best to remove the car from your BMW account. Wait to you the receive email from BMW confirming removal. Then Reset I-drive via long press. Uninstall the App from phone. Clear all cookies from your phones default browser.. reinstall App and add your car back in.
Then update Apps and Services in car I-drive..press Apps, tilt left to highlight Installed App, press Option, Seiect Update Apps and Services
This is basically a fresh start....

Nope, they did not. Useless actually.

I basically did what you said and got it to work again. I disconnected the car using the website. Then added the car. No need for a. I Drive reset or deleting the app. Disconnecting the car reset everything

That's great.. yes removing the car seems to cure most things.
I found similar when I first got my car...after about a month, I knew more about it than the so called BMW genius.😥😥
