Adaptive suspension worth it? M340

Is the adaptive suspension worth searching for on an m340?

It was a cheap ($700) option but I’m not finding many cars for sale with it.

Coming from a 2016 340 track handling package car that had adaptive suspension I was quite interested to hear what everyone thought. I really enjoyed it on my 2016.

Thanks!

On our roads? I would think so. I noticed the same thing when looking at pre-LCI's. Not a lot of them for sale that optioned for Adaptive Suspension. CT roads are slowly getting better but we definitely have a ton of rough spots across the state so I'd say you'll need all the help you can get.

Where in CT are you?

I like it. I’ve had adaptive suspension in past cars where the change from one setting to another wasn’t that noticeable. I find the difference on the 340 to be noticeable. I would spec a car with it again.

I’ve never driven a car with it but I did a lot of research prior to ordering my car and everything I’ve seen so far says it’s worth it !

The m340i with the standard m-sport suspension is pretty harsh IMO. Adaptive suspension is the one option I regret not checking when I ordered my car.

Due to parts shortages the adaptive suspension option was in and out of availability the past couple years. I wasn't able to option it on mine but I don't think the ride is harsh at all but I live in NC and do not have RFT.

Not practical, but according to an ad in the latest Roundel you can get it activated on most 2019 and any 2021+ vehicle that uses their Drive online stuff.

It will possibly turn out not to be that easy, but it should be. They provided four mini (2 or 3 page) guides for that, Driver Assistant Pro package and several others that I already have on order.

It’s possible? Don’t need hardware exchange?

Some items like Driver Assistant Pro package have 2021+ in the fine print, but as I recall this only needs 2019 or later

So it’s a matter of getting the fsc and activating the feature?

Personally, I find that virtually impossible to believe. I don’t believe BMWAG would put the mechanicals on every single car built.

Totally agree. This isn't just some software patch, there's a hardware component that I don't see them just putting in vehicles and then leaving deactivated.

??? I just looked through the Jan-Feb ‘23, Dec ‘22, and Nov ‘22 issues and I cannot find an ad like you mention.
