So I was looking to swap out my lci gear selector for the pre lci one as many people have done it before. However the selector that matches my current configuration has the adaptive button my my current one doesn’t. Will this cause any issues or could this actually be coded in by me to put this button to use?

Most likely wouldn't cause an issue. you would have to code it in and If it does work it will do nothing.
