Be warned I went head over heart when I sold the 340i a few years ago and bought a v90 d5 on a 2 year lease as they were very cheap deals.

Anyone that was on these forums for those 2 years will have heard how much I "enjoyed" it. Looked nice, went OK for a 4pot diesel but the gearbox software was so bad it was dangerous, the in car graphics were comical and it was too big!
I'm sure the software and driving dynamics are better now but lesson learned. Test drive every car before taking the plunge.

225 never a truer word spoken. Only time I’ve ever done it was buying a Renaultsport Clio 197 when they first came out, and trading in my Civic Type-R…within 2 months I had another Type-R on the drive again. Big mistake, and cost me a couple of grand in the process

I ordered an M340i without a test drive. Worked out fine.

I will be testing an V60 and S60, I've allways wanted a 3 series but just cant bring myself to spend 27k ish on a car that's near 5 years old with only basic tech.

This is my 7th new BMW in a row - not testdriven one for at least 15 years, if not longer. No regrets, no surprises.

Different if I was jumping manufacturer of course.

Same here (sort of). I’ve gone RS Audis, normal, BMW, not test driven a single car in a good 10yrs. No regrets……

I rarely bother either but it bit me on the arse when I bought my F31 undriven.

So many good reviews, vs a 320i for instance, this was unlikely to be a lemon purchase... I take it you are equally pleased with yours?

Totally satisfied. The best car I've owned from the perspective of being the complete package. It does everything well. Performance feels simular to my old F82 M4. In comfort settings it wont worry the passengers. I think we've reached 'peak car' and will probably keep it for a long time.

I spent 8 months trying to find a 330i and eventually gave up and bought the m340i instead as they were more widely available. But boy did I pay a premium over what the car was really worth, due to the inflated prices. That was only back in August, but I see the prices of used cars are really starting to drop now.
