G20 with grille slats open
Seen a few threads with people wanting pictures and found this.
It makes the new grille almost bearable! Surely this can be coded soon so slats remain open and look far better. http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classifi...?atmobcid=soc3 |

If the engine is warm, the slats are open. Not sure about highway driving.

Well we had the golf-t mod for the exhaust in the 335 and older and in the 340 we could simply unplug the harness to the flap - but now that in the G20 we have a grill to deal with I'm thinking maybe a stick or paint stirrer shoved into one of the slats will do the trick

Actually it's quite a smart design. I think you mean a stupid looking design.

Why? Simply on looks?
Many of us live and drive in climates where faster warm up (particularly diesel engines) and gaining greater fuel efficiency, is more desirable than what a grille looks like. I can't understand why it has taken so long to get better temperature control and management. |
