Anyone in OC area with a 21-22 with a upgraded exhaust say a MPE or something else? Might be getting into one again but was surprised how quite the car was compared to a 2020 model

I'm in the same boat. I have to wring the shit out of this 21 to get any sound. Getting an intake helped me a little bit but I get occasional pops but not much burbles like my 20.

Highly recommend the AA DP with MPE for perfect blend of quiet in comfort / eco pro, or loud enough in sport / sport +.

I'm guessing the exhaust is the same as a 23? Mine has a rear muffler delete (not my doing) and sounds great. Little louder than I would've chosed but it's not bad at low rpms.

I have a 24 M340 and stock is super quiet. I went ahead and go an AA downpipe and valvetronic exhaust and it’s amazing! Loud but not too loud, and of course cops in OC be little pigs so I turn off the valves and it’s completely silent.
