M340i M Performance parts
I'm looking in getting the external carbon M Performance parts getting fitted to my M340i.
The parts I'm after is the front splitter with carbon attachments, side sills, side decals, rear carbon spoiler and rear diffuser in gloss black with carbon diffuser. Just ringing some dealers to get an idea of cost and the best price I've had so far is £2400. This is a price match of an ebay price of £1750 + roughly £650 in labour costs so assume it must be a 6 hour-ish job, which seems high to me for parts which should just bolt on! Anyone had better prices offered on this kit before? |

Try a local body shop and buying the bits through eBay.
I managed to get a few bits recently for my hopefully soon to be delivered M340i Touring. There are some that I could fit myself (rear diffuser and sides) and some that would require sticking. For info I paid £285 for the pair of sides (ebay new from dealership) and just over £300 for rear diffuser gloss black with carbon (ebay used but like new). I had m performance side skirts and splitter which were going to be fitted to my soon to be traded in M135i. Local body shop was going to charge £50 per hour but then I decided to change the car so sold the bits. They were also ebay bargains from bmw dealerships)

I'm with the others on buying in parts on ebay & either DIY in full or partial & finding a local body shop to do the rest....or the same as already mentioned with a few choice third party items instead of the full OEM selection in my case it was carbon mirror caps and gloss front lip.
The hardest parts to find at a decent cost I found were the carbon extensions. I ended up forgoing them due to the potential of them sustaining damage that would be very expensive to replace. |

I got mine from a bmw retailer on ebay, a full carbon performance kit for £2100. The only clip on parts are the rear trim and wing mirror covers. You can affix the sills with a clips but that requires drilling holes into the underside of the car. The rest are glued on. I personally used tiger seal and it's great, took about 2 days with help holding parts in place until its bonded enough to hold on its own. I personally found the front lip the most problematic to affix.

I used the BMW specific adhesive that comes with everything you need, surface cleaner, sandpaper, applicator and the adhesive itself.
£25 at MLPerformance more than likely pick it up cheaper on eBay as well. |

My dealer supplied & fitted the CF front 3 piece & CF rear spoiler for just over £1461.
Had to push them hard to get that price, was on fitted to my car prior to collection. I really considered using Carbon Factory in Milton Keynes for non OEM parts. Reviews were good and quality looked right (from photos), Michael was the contact and he was very helpful. |

If you get them fitted prior to delivery on a new car then ask the dealer to speak to BMW finance and they will offer an uplift of your GMFV if you will be buying on PCP.
I had my Carbon M Performance Kit (Carbon Diffuser, Carbon Rear spoiler, black side Sills, Black front splitter with Carbon corner Extensions) fitted before delivery and the dealer matched the cheapest price I found on EBAY for a genuine kit and then fitted it for £2100 all in, I then had a GMFV uplift of around £350 if I remember rightly making it a net cost to me Over the duration of the agreement of £1750. |

I used Unit 17 for their full G20 Carbon kit, paid £1600 fitted. Front splitter, rear diffuser, side skirts & wing mirrors.
Don't think its official M performance but I much rather their stuff than the BM official bits. They do some brilliant stuff for Merc too. They have made a kit for the new M3 & M4, have a look on their instagram. They seemed friendly enough when i went down there. I have also heard good things about the milton keynes place mentioned above. Last edited by JM13RS; 10-21-2021 at 08:56 AM.. |

How you finding the front splitter seeing as you've had your wagon lowered? Take it you went down the ACS route for springs seeing as it was all dealer fitted. Keep that warranty intact I guess 🙌 |
