Mercedes already gave you a hint when you -unsuccessfully- mock them. Mercedes didn't even need to use an image to get the message accross. How dumb or how many dumb and dumber are in Munchen headquarter? Last edited by Teutonic; 01-11-2020 at 12:36 AM.. |

The difference to the G80 spy videos is striking. The gap to the real M seems to be as big as ever. I agree that the car in this video look very uncomfortable on the ring lumbering around where the G80 is dancing. A lot of poorly controlled body movement, it looks heavy and soft but retains grip well enough.

If I wouldn't care, I wouldn't spend my energy. There is a saying between my people: "If one tells you that you are drunk you can doubt that; if more tell you that, you should go to sleep."
The grill issue is so blatantly discussed and criticized that only a subjective individual will refuse to see it. I am probably one of the bigger fans of this brand. But l am not going to be a hypocrite one. The trouble with most of us is we would rather be ruined by praise than saved by criticism. |

Na, some of us actually like the 4 series big grill concept so far... If when it's fully revealed the execution is hot garbage then I'll reconsider; but just because the majority seems not to like it doesn't mean that those who do are mega fanboi brand humpers. I just happen to think the F-series of cars is a bit stale looking these days. The F80, to me, superb, but pre-pre LCIs (2015-17s) are looking a bit tired these days... YMMV.

In Munich we are more conservative on these tit-for-tat social media responses. See the retirement video with the ex-chairman of Mercedes-Benz driving off in the i8 Roadster. I would not say they are dumb at Munich. The 4 design is seen to bring forth more presence after years of being acceptable conservatism. Today car design within many involves the alphabet of car brands and selecting the best parts of that brands design and applying them. The 4 is the core sporty model as it leads to the M and Motorsport. It's important that this Performance has an appearance that showcases this is a performance car but relates on some level to its vast gene pool from it's historic linage. The basic ideas are not new,but are historically familiar and interpreted to be aesthetically far more progressive.

While a future M4 CSL will be impressive, it will probably be overpriced and won't sell well. |

I really hope the 4 series don't evolve into GT proportions but it seems inevitable with how big cars keeps getting. 2 series might be the last hope.
